Module 3

Activity 1 was about how we could turn personal meaning into visual data. We designed an abstract image based on our personality and life currently.
Activity 2 was about how to transform physical objects (that represents parts of you) into a digital 3D asset which you can use as your Symbolic Selfie.
For the Workshop, our focus was 'self-awareness' and how you can conduct yourself better in a team if you understand your current 'personality type' out of four options which were based of the article. My classmate and I made collages based on the personality types we were closest to!

Activity 1

This is the original image drawn. Here the image has been twisted slighty by my face using facemesh. Here the image has been twisted just barley by my face using facemesh. Here the image has been twisted slighty by my face using facemesh. This is the order in which I added the images layers in the code. Here the image has been twisted all the way by my face using facemesh. It looks quite different! A close up of my image to see the textures. Here the image has been twisted slighty by my face using facemesh. Here the image has been twisted slighty by my face using facemesh. A close up of my image to see the textures. Here is the image of my self portrait. Here is my self portrait, I was using the facemesh and trying to replicate the original image! Here all of the layers are all over the place, especially my eyes. In this image my mouth ends op opposite to where my hair and face are. The code showing the layers of my self portrait. Here I managed to tilt my head totally sideways. Playing around with how I can move my head to move around the layers. I managed to put all my features back on my face but it still didn't look right. Here the image has been twisted by my face using facemesh. Here the image has been twisted by my face using facemesh. The first layer with my face and turtleneck. The layer with my pink hair. The layer with my hat and beauty marks. The layer with my eyes and eyebrows. The layer with my nose.

Activity 2

Distorted the 3D object too much making it look oddly wide. Trying to re-angle my object in Meshmixer. Front angle of the keychain object. Side angle of the keychain object. Lower angle of the keychain object. The slide of my 'No Labels' album, it retained the words but looks a bit melted. The backside of my 'No Labels' album, it retained the words but looks a bit melted. The front of my 'No Labels' album, it retained the image but looks a bit melted. If you look close enough you can see my reflection. Playing around with angles using my photocard in Meshmixer. The texture of the 3D object. My wooden drawing model standing in a funny pose without an arm. It's been through alot. How my wooden drawing model looked from below, it needed to be filled in so there would be no more holes. An above view of my wooden drawing model. A birds-eye-view of my wooden drawing model. The texture of the 3D object. The front of my Totoro plushie keychain. The top of my Totoro plushie keychain. The side of my Totoro plushie keychain. The backside of my Totoro plushie keychain. The side of my Totoro plushie keychain. A 3D scan of a princess toy. A 3D scan of a princess toy showing what it looks from the inside. A close op of the 3D scan of my photocard. My 3D scan of a Canada pin. I tried to play around in Meshmixer. A 3D scan of a malaysian giant coin. It turned out nice even though it was reflective.

Final Project 3 Design

Finally I chose a wooden drawing model as my object because it represented my creativity, but also by being simply wood broaden the idea to a blank canvas which represents a person who is always growing and changing, someone who can be whoever they want to.
